Complete Handrearing diet for young
seed-, fruit- and insect eating birds. Also suitable for sick and weak adult
birds. Water soluble. Unique, because it can be offered with a syringe and crop
needle, but also with a bent spoon.
Young weak birds can sometimes be saved by offering them Aves-Hand- rearing
diet. The diet can also be offered to sick and weakened adult birds. These birds
should be treated with the right medicines. Feeding birds into the beak is
preferable to feeding directly into the crop. The Handrearing diet should be
dissolved in water of ± 35°C. Weigh the bird every day prior to the first
feeding and register its bodyweight. Avoid overfeeding and check if the bird is
defecating. Keep the nest clean. When the bird is willing to eat from a spoon,
switch over to Aves-Start, Psitta-Start, Fruitmix-Start or insects supplemented
with Aves-Mealwormfood or Aves-Insect dusting powder. Extensive feeding
instructions are printed on the label.
